🔑 The Renvida Local Secret
One of the things we love most about La Xara is that it still feels like a real village.
Throughout the year the church square becomes the heart of the community, hosting music, celebrations and family events that bring everyone together.
One of the most magical evenings takes place every January when the Three Kings arrive to deliver presents to children at collection points throughout the village. Watching families gather in the beautifully lit square before the celebrations begin is a tradition that perfectly captures the warmth and community spirit of La Xara.
Afterwards, wander through the village and you'll discover a wonderful collection of small tapas restaurants where long lunches and relaxed evenings are simply part of everyday life.
⭐ Did You Know?
La Xara is home to one of the Marina Alta's most respected charities, HELP of Marina Alta, providing invaluable support to local residents through its charity shop, equipment loan service and dedicated team of volunteers.
The village also benefits from its own TRAM station, offering a wonderfully scenic journey to Dénia or south towards Alicante, with a change at Benidorm.
Just a few minutes away you'll also find La Sella Golf Resort, one of Costa Blanca North's premier golf destinations.
❤️ Why We Love La Xara
La Xara has a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere that's becoming increasingly difficult to find.
It's close enough to Dénia to enjoy everything the coast has to offer, yet peaceful enough to feel like a proper village where community still matters.
You'll find excellent tapas restaurants, local cafés, supermarkets, everyday services and even horse riding facilities nearby, while Dénia Hospital is close enough to reach on foot for many residents.
One of our favourite parts of the village is the beautiful Ibiza-inspired residential area, whose whitewashed architecture gives it a distinctive Mediterranean charm.
For us, La Xara is one of those places that quietly wins people over.
It doesn't shout for attention.
It simply gets on with being a wonderful place to live.
🌿 A Thought Before You Leave...
Some villages impress you with their size.
Others with their scenery.
La Xara wins people over with something much simpler...
Its sense of community.
Spend a little time here, enjoy lunch in one of the village restaurants, wander through the quiet streets and watch everyday life unfold around the square.
Before long...
You'll understand why so many people choose to call La Xara home.
